The Stable Centre in Mansfield Woodhouse offers more than just a spot to grab a quick cuppa — it’s a community hub where locals gather for simple, hearty meals and a friendly atmosphere. Situated on Church Street, this café and community center blends the comfort of a neighborhood café with the lively feel of a collective space, especially on Fridays when the adjoining Turner Hall hosts an indoor market.

Visitors often come for the basics done well: think a reliable English Breakfast or a straightforward Long Black to start the day. The menu changes daily, making each visit a little different, but the focus remains on honest, affordable food with fresh ingredients. Homemade jams are a notable touch, reflecting a homey, personal vibe that’s appreciated by regulars. Prices are notably wallet-friendly, with hearty meals like a full English breakfast starting around just over £3, including tea or coffee, making it inviting for families and those looking for a substantial, no-fuss breakfast.

The atmosphere leans into easy-going and inclusive, with a genuine community feel that shows through in the warm interactions with staff and fellow visitors. Accessibility is thoughtfully considered, with wheelchair-friendly spaces ensuring everyone can feel welcome. There’s some outdoor seating too, handy when the weather holds up, letting visitors enjoy their drink and chat in the fresh air.

The Stable Centre fits naturally into local life — whether stopping by for breakfast on a weekend morning, grabbing tea during a market visit, or marking small personal moments like birthday breakfasts or pre-wedding coffees. Its value is in the modest, reliable comfort it offers and how it acts as a gathering point in Mansfield Woodhouse’s daily rhythm.

Ideal for anyone who appreciates straightforward food, friendly faces, and a spot where you can feel part of the neighborhood, The Stable Centre makes good on being a calm, unpretentious place to eat, drink, and connect.

Excellent little cafe. Must try the full English fried breakfast , a great deal at only £3.20 ( £4 large) including tea or coffee. Very friendly staff and even has open air seating if the weather is permitting

Great community atmosphere and good honest cheap food, fresh vegetables available with home made main meals and also serves hot and cold drinks. Indoor community market on Fridays at the adjoined Turner Hall means visitors can visit the centre for breakfasts and if required food can be bought to your stall. A friendly centre for the community.

It's the first time I've been here had a meal of roast chicken with vegetables. Each day they have a different menu. Very well priced. I enjoyed my meal.

I’ve been here now on two occasions once for the morning of my wedding day and today for my daughter’s 3rd birthday breakfast! Absolutely love this place, the food and the people who run it. Everyone is so friendly and polite and the food is delicious too. I would recommend anyone to come here even just for the price! Warm little spot for nice food and a chat. A secret little gem!

The stable centre is a small restaurant connected to to st. Edmund's church in Mansfield Woodhouse. On Sundays it is used for coffee and biscuits after the church service and on weekdays serves .simple meals. It is nice place to go and meet friends.

It's a very lovely place but not sure if it's for everyone it's not trendy and not a place for coffee lovers and is run by the church and senior people
